| DUII designs and manages database management systems, including Oracle,
Informix Online Dynamic Server, Microsoft SQL Server and Inprise InterBase. For new database development projects, DUII uses CASE tools to perform object-oriented analysis and design (OOAD). The lifecycle of the analysis activity generates conceptual diagrams of a selected software methodology and associated modeling language. DUII uses the conceptual diagrams to design logical models of the analyzed business objects and its problem domains. The logical models then can be translated into the physical data models implemented in a selected database management system. For Business Process Reengineering (BPR), DUII uses CASE tools to perform reverse engineering on the legacy systems to initiate conceptual diagrams. DUII then forward engineers by following a selected software methodology and its associated modeling language. DUII is experienced in BPR legacy systems originally developed in MUMPS, COBOL and C. DUII has instituted a reversing and forwarding engineering mechanism that governs and repeats successful BPR processes. For the database administration and maintenance, DUII optimizes design and operation. DUII tunes performance of databases. DUII executes security trust facility by using database audit trail to meet business need, regulatory and government security requirement. DUII designs backup strategy and provide disaster recovery. |
