Starfruit Evidence Collector

A sample-tracking tool consists of a Pocket PC and a wireless printer. 

This cost-effective operation is as follows:

1. Collect evidence using Starfruit Evidence Collector at the crime scene;
2. Print bar code labels and mailing labels;
3. Upload evidence and crime scene data to Starfruit CrimeLab Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) to submit evidence for examination.

This is a high-throughput databasing and casework analysis that controls the chain of custody of evidence from the point of collection at the crime scene, scientific analysis in the lab, to the dissemination of reports to the criminal justice system.

Starfruit Evidence Collector software/hardware computerizes the operation of crime scene investigation.  Instead of writing using your pens data on the envelopes or containers of the evidence collection kits, you record data of evidence collection kits in a computer.  You then print a smart bar code labels to tag your evidence collection kits.  You simply scan the smart bar code to tell the whole stories of your evidence without pens and paper.
